Linear Valve Actuators

Overview

PNL and HYL-Series high performance pneumatic and hydraulic linear valve actuators have been designed to automate any linear valve or mechanism. Using the same cylinder components as used for PN and HY-Series quarter-turn scotch-yoke valve actuators, long cycle life is guaranteed even in the most demanding applications and environmental conditions.

Applications

Automation of wedge gate, expanding gate, through conduit, globe, knife gate, swing check, lift and turn ball valves and all rising stem valves, and dampers.

PNL-Series: 2.7 to 12 Barg (40 to 150 psig)

HYL-Series: 13 to 250 Barg (90 to 3,625 psig)

Thrust Output

Up to 289,134 N (65,000 lbf)

Temperatures

Low: -45 to +60°C (-49 to +140°F)

Standard: -20 to +80°C (-4 to 176°F)

High: -20 to +140°C (-4 to +284°F)

Electroless nickel plated cylinder as standard with hard chromium plating, Xylan® or Electro-film available

Available in double acting and spring return configurations

Springs contained within a fully welded canister (which is post weld heat treated) to guarantee simple and safe removal

Springs are scragged (set removal) in order to warrant optimum and stable performance

Easy and economical maintenance due to simplified design, no special tools required for installation or maintenance
